Friends with benefits is an American romantic comedy produced by Will Gluck, with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. The film has a cast that includes Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Patricia Clarkson.
Filming began July 13, 2010 in New York in September 2010 and wrapped in Los Angeles. The film is distributed by Screen Gems and was released in North America July 22, 2011.
Plot
Jamie (Mila Kunis) is an executive recruiter for agencies working in New York and Dylan (Justin Timberlake) is the artistic director of a small Internet company in Los Angeles. Jamie is responsible for trying to recruit interviews with GQ magazine Dylan jobs and started working in New York. Dylan arrived in New York, and after the role maintenance Jamie learns that he got a job offer for GQ. Dylan was initially reluctant to accept and move to Los Angeles to New York, but the effort to get Dylan to accept employment Jamie spends the night, take him all over the city trying to sell his apartment and the city.
After a night of fun together exploring Dylan city agrees to accept the position. The next day, signed the contract with Jamie Dylan by him in the country by the Committee on recruitment. Without knowing anyone in town, he and Jamie rapidly developing a friendship. One night while hanging in the apartment of Jamie to see a romantic comedy that has been the subject of sex and relationships. They conclude that gender should not come with so many emotional ties. The two feel the need for a physical connection that is agreed to have sex without feelings or commitment to participate. After several appointments Jamie comes to realize that it's not really what you want and want to start dating again, and reports that Dylan must stop.
Jamie meets Parker (Bryan Greenberg), and start date. Five dates consummated their relationship, but the next morning, Jamie Parker leaves and reportedly was not really looking for something more. Furious, Jamie Parker, said the outside, ensuring the end of their relationship. Try to be supportive and help Jamie to overcome the pain of the situation in Columbine, it is proposed to go with him to California on July 4th weekend, while visiting his family. Jamie is very hesitant, but it should be, after much persistence on Dylan. They fly to California, where her sister Jamie How (Jenna Elfman), Annie and her father (Richard Jenkins). While in California, our feelings with each other begin to form and share a passionate kiss that leads to the night, almost none of the intimacy they had shared before. However, the next Jamie overhears a conversation between Annie and Dylan does not show the true feelings for him. The man, the flight back to New York.
A few days later, Dylan returned to New York to try to win his friendship with Jamie, and do not know. Finally, he finds Jamie and tells everything he heard, he says, and is not interested in a sort of friendship with him.
Shortly after, Jamie discovers that Dylan may have to abandon the position of GQ magazine, new jobs, which would affect the Commission. Dylan has tackled what brings us to the second argument. The two begin to do some soul searching to try to get along with their thoughts on their relationship. Jamie spends time with her mother (Patricia Clarkson), while Dylan speaks on the phone with her sister. Her sister tells her that her father, who is already suffering from Alzheimer's disease, will travel to New York and must be picked up at the airport. Eating at the airport with his father's father, an Alzheimer's moment of confusion, lack of a recognized woman from his past. Dylan asked this woman and her father to find his clarity, he said it was a woman he met in the Navy, who was the love of his life and regrets the decisions he had to let him go in his youth.
Dylan realizes what it feels like Jamie, and then talk to his friend and colleague, Tommy (Woody Harrelson), decides to go after him. He called the mother of Jamie set up an excuse to go to Grand Central think that Jamie has to choose his mother, and he manages to organize a flash mob, to the surprise of Jamie, the Grand Central. When the time comes, catch by Jamie and told him how you really feel. Surprised and pleased with this state of affairs, Jamie tells you to kiss her. After sharing a kiss Dylan refers to the fact that it's time to go to the first meeting. They go to the bar in front, and also try to keep the date casual and relaxed, the movie ends their sensual kiss and embrace passionately.
