Like Crazy Movie the story of Jacob and Anna, a young couple who fall in love, just before being placed on a degree. His passion is so strong, that Anna ignored the limits of their student visa in English after graduation. When he returns to Britain to be with Jacob, was denied access to the United States, a couple are clearly intended for one another, must find a way to make our relationship work, almost half of the world . However, the career home range grass collection (in Los Angeles and London), and a simple desire for communion, things get complicated and messy rather quickly.
The strength of the film is entirely in his two young stars Anton Yelchin and Felicity Jones. The film, shot from a 50-page sketch instead of a manuscript based on the improvised dialogues and natural chemistry. Yelchin and Jones both bring a vibrant energy to their characters, driving home the sense that these two are really in love with each other. Yelchin, did his best to grow facial hair, looking more mature than ever so heavy that the drama that seems more appropriate for him as an actor. But it still seems so childish that even the idea of first love, is certainly not excluded. Felicity Jones and wide, bright eyes and smile are enough to make someone fall in love at first sight. It's like she has all the qualities of the face Mila Kunis, Rachel Bilson and Rachel McAdams, combined.
Another of the actors, the bones of winter is Jennifer Lawrence, deserves special mention for her portrayal of Samantha sober, the girl who was with Jacob when the challenges seem insurmountable distance from Anna. Silent destruction as Jacob wobbles back and forth between the girl belongs to him, making it one of the best performances in the film. It stands out, not as a villain, but an innocent victim of circumstances and a reminder that collateral damage is almost inevitable with the love of youth.
Doremus previous films, douchebag, was largely rejected by critics and audiences at the Sundance Film Festival last year. But he returns with a milder tone and found a contact with a ball. The film is directed in the sense that it avoids the pitfalls of other "mumble-core" films (heavy on dialogue, low budget, and focused on everyday relationships), remains to be too self-conscious and full of neuroses introspective. Doremus seem particularly well suited to extract complex emotions from his actors, but to prevent them from chewing the scenery with the kind of big, noisy deals may come with emotional discussions and arguments.
